Horseshoe Bend is a Horseshoe shaped bend in the Colorado River just a couple miles down stream of the Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell, near Page Arizona.

We found this little guy on the walk back to the car.

New Years Resolutions

Did you make any New Years Resolutions?  I never made resolutions in the past, but the last couple of years I have, and I really enjoy doing it.  Think of it as a goal setting session for your year. Every successful company has goals, so to be a successful individual, or family doesn't it make sense to write down goals too?

At our house we set individual goals, then set goals as a family.  However, I think it is important to include other people on your individual goals.  For example, if you have a goal to eat healthier for the year, but your spouse made a goal to try every recipe from the "Everything Tastes Better Fried"  cookbook this year your goals don't align, and are then destined for failure.  Moral of the story (I don't even know if that was a story) is, talk about your goals, that way everyone can be on the same page, and you are more likely to succeed in your resolutions.
