A New Year and a New Direction
Whoa! I can't believe Christmas is already over, and New Years is right around the corner. As most of you know the Mrs. and I have started to really enjoy photography. So as a pre New Year resolution, I am going to try to post one picture a day. Now will this get done every day? Probably not, but hopefully by the end of the year there will be approximately 365 pictures posted. (depending on if its a leap year, and how many full moons there are.) I hope you all enjoy them as much as I enjoy taking them. Some may have a great story to go along with it, others may just simply be a pretty, funny, or interesting picture. (odds are that the two poohs are featured quite a bit.) ((those poohs would be classified as cute, funny, or ridiculous)). Let me know what ya'll think (Crap. I guess I did really move to Texas if I'm ya'lling).
I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas, and has a Fantastic New Year.

To start it off, here is a pictures of an airplane at the Air Force museum in Midland that we visited when Kent was visiting.

Tis the Season!
We have had Christmas music going in the house all weekend except when we are watching OU squeak out a win over Nebraska. BOOMER SOONER. Mrs.G has done an awesome job making the house feel like Christmas with all her great decorations. We even set up our tree before Thanksgiving, so we could enjoy it as soon as we got back from our Thanksgiving travels to Denver.
This weekend it was my turn to add a little Christmas cheer to our house. So in true Clark Griswold fashion I started putting up Christmas lights on Saturday. (For those of you not in the know, Clark Griswold is Chevy Chase's character in National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. If you haven't watched it yet this year its time to break it out.) I spent several hours out putting lights up making sure they were all in the perfect spot. Finishing up at right about dusk perfect timing for the lighting.
Drum roll please..... I plugged in the lights and nothing happened. Turned out that the outlets made for the Christmas light are not functioning. Only a small set back. I have extension cords, and know how to use them. Plugging the extension cord into a previously tested outlet and waalaa, the lights come on..... for about 5 seconds. Turns out that you can only connect so many strands of lights together without blowing the little fuse in the strands. With my pride and frustration levels at opposite ends of the scale, I gave up for the night. On the bright side, I got to go in and watch the Sooners win, and Mrs. G had made some delicious hot chocolate to warm me up.
Sunday the lights did not win I changed some fuses, and added a few extension cords, and we have this.
I hope everyones Holiday decorating goes as good as Mrs. G's and better than mine.

Welcome!!!
Welcome! If you are reading this you probably already know me, and I probably paid you to read this. But if you don’t know who we are let me introduce you to the cast of characters in my life.
First and foremost is the Beautiful, the Lovely, the Brilliant Mrs. G. She is also an Engineer, a Reservoir Enginer. If I get the oil she finds the oil, and that’s makes us a great team. We both work for the same company although we do not work together. It works that way at home too, although we aren’t looking for oil at home, unless we are cooking and can’t find the olive oil. Speaking of cooking, (notice the segway) Mrs. G is probably the best cook I know. I could talk about how great she is all night but I must go on and talk about our two other family members.
Next we have the Two Poohs, Dutch and Moose. These guys are our little buddies, well maybe not so little but definitely our buddies. Dutch is a Brittany , and Moose is a Lab and they are definitely not as good of authors as their cousin Frank. Dutch and Moose make a great pair not unlike Mrs. G and myself. Although they don’t get out as much as they would like, they make a great hunting pair. Dutch finds the birds, and Moose gets the birds, it’s almost like someone planned it that way.
Now this is just a brief introduction to the Fam, buy you’ll be hearing a lot more about them. That is if I haven’t scared you away from reading the blog or you read it all and still don’t know what it says, and are unsure whether or not there will be another post or not.
It was good chatting with you, come back soon!
Mr. G
